Alex was one of 12 employees worldwide to be awarded the prestigious Leader’s Council award at Lucent Technologies as a result of his success as a Director of Sales. After more than 14 years in management and sales for PepsiCo, Nortel Networks and Lucent Technologies, Alex founded Laurex in an effort to reduce his time on the road and help others invest in real estate. Alex holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

As a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Alex is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. As a CCIM, Alex is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is among an elite corps of 9,000 professionals across North America who earned the CCIM designation. Alex’s real estate involvement includes membership of the National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors & Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute. Alex serves as Vice Chairman for the CCIM Institute Cultural Diversity National Advisory Board, Treasurer of the North Texas CCIM Chapter, member of the Texas Association of Realtors State Housing Taskforce & Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA). Alex is also a graduate of the CCIM Institute Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy and the MetroTex Association of Realtors Leadership Program.

An active member of the community, Alex currently serves as a board member for the Southern Dallas Development Corporation (SDDC) and chairman for its New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) committee. Alex also supports the Plano ISD as a member of the Jasper High School SBIC Advisory Committee. He previously has held board positions with Plano Rotary, CITY House Youth Shelter, Boys & Girls Club of Collin County, Plano Community Forum, Leadership Plano as well as a member of the City of Plano’s Cultural Affairs Commission & Public Art Committee. He has also participated in Plano ISD’s Educator Internship program and is a Leadership Plano graduate of class 21.

Alex supports the Plano Chamber of Commerce and has contributed as a member of multiple Committees. In 2007, he was honored with the CCIM Institute Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy’s Susan J. Groeneveld Award of Excellence. In 2005, he was awarded his CCIM designation by the CCIM Institute. In 2004, he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International. In 2003, he was honored by the Plano Chamber of Commerce as Ambassador of the Year and Eagle Award Winner. In 2002, he was honored as a Certified Toast Master (CTM) by Toastmasters International. In 1998, Alex was awarded a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts.

Alex has also served his church, Grace Outreach Center, as a leader in the Newly Married Couples Group and Men’s Group. He has also been a part of the ministries for the Nursery, Children’s Church, and Greeter Team. Alex is also a graduate of the Grace School of Ministry Bible School. He is also blessed with his wife and two daughters.

Marina has masters and bachelor degrees in economics from Northwestern University. She worked as a researcher for Hewitt Associates international division in Lincolnshire, IL before staying home to care for her 2 daughters. When Marina returned to the workforce, she decided to make her career in the real estate industry.

As an independent representative of Eagle’s Nest Homes, she implemented the company’s Builder Assisted program. Using a local builder as a consultant, she located a lot and built an energy efficient, high wind resistant round home in Collin County. She then spent time with Financial Concepts Realtors and Mortgage Brokers as assistant to the president, dealing in residential investment real estate. She was responsible for marketing and investment research support as well as loan origination and processing.

An active real estate investor herself, Marina owns and manages rental real estate, has seller financed property, and holds real estate backed notes. She has bought and sold property and mortgage notes in Illinois, California as well as in Malaysia, where she was born and raised. She brings this range in personal experience to help other investors at Laurex Realty Advisors

Marina is a member of the Dallas Museum of Art, Singapore Club, Dallas Shambala Meditation Center and KERA. She is blessed with 2 daughters and a close knit family in Malaysia. She helps out at the children’s schools whenever possible. She also volunteers with the Red Cross, the Dallas Asian Film Festival and during KERA pledge drives.

Jonathan was born and raised in Texas and has currently been living in the D/FW area for 25 years. He recently graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in Real Estate. While at the University of North Texas he belonged to the University of North Texas Real Estate Club and was named to the Dean's list in fall of 2006.

Prior to joining the Laurex Realty Advisor team Jonathan worked with Countrywide Home Loans in the Loss Mitigation department. His duty at Countrywide was to find solutions for homeowners so they could make their mortgage payment. During the first 3 years he was recognized as employee of the month 9 times. His final 2 years at Countrywide he was promoted to Queue Manager where he assisted with the operations. He helped oversee the operations at the Fort Worth, California, Plano, and India locations.
